Dicebots: a TTRPG
A downloadable game
Dicebots is a one-page TTRPG for smart people playing as dumb robots. The only components you will need are a D12 and pencil & paper.
The core mechanic is based on the idea the everything your robot does is a program they must learn. As they learn, they add actions to their "programs" list, and as you gather programs, you can combine them to make better ones. For example: if you learn "slap_face()" or "slap_knee()", you can try to convince your DM that your robot can combine them into one "slap_bodypart()" program. The new ability can apply to the original actions, as well as new actions that fit under the same umbrella.
It's designed for mostly comedic games, with a hint of mystery and eerie sci-fi strangeness, but can be adapted for all kinds of settings and moods. Included in the download is a bonus page of content with maps and mission ideas for GMs looking for place to start.
